El lunes 9 de junio, Wine Enthusiast celebró su tercera edición del evento SIP of South America en City Winery de Nueva York.
La jornada comenzó con un panel de conversación moderado por Anna-Christina Cabrales (Directora de Cata, Wine Enthusiast) y Jesica Vargas (Editora general), centrado en el presente y futuro del vino sudamericano.
Participaron destacadas figuras del mundo gastronómico y vinícola:
- Daniella Lauricella, directora de vinos del grupo de restaurantes peruanos Llama Group
- Chef Fernando Navas, cofundador del restaurante argentino Balvanera
- Oscar Garcia Moncada, director creativo y comprador principal en 67 Wine & Spirits
Se abordaron temas clave como la sostenibilidad, la evolución de las preferencias de los consumidores, la narrativa de las etiquetas y los estereotipos que aún enfrenta el vino sudamericano en el mercado internacional.
Más de 50 bodegas participaron en la posterior degustación libre.
Viñedos Orgánicos Veramonte y Viña Neyen de Apalta estuvieron presentes junto al enólogo Gonzalo Bertelsen, quien presentó:

On Monday, June 9, Wine Enthusiast hosted its third annual SIP of South America at City Winery in New York City.
The day began with a thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Anna-Christina Cabrales (Tasting Director, Wine Enthusiast) and Jesica Vargas (Writer-at-Large, Wine Enthusiast), focusing on the current state and future of South American wines.
The panel featured leading voices in hospitality and wine:
- Daniella Lauricella, Wine Director at Llama Group (Peruvian restaurants)
- Chef Fernando Navas, co-founder of Balvanera (Argentinian restaurant)
- Oscar Garcia Moncada, Creative Director and Wine Buyer at 67 Wine & Spirits
Key topics included sustainability, consumer trends, label storytelling, and overcoming stereotypes in the global wine industry.
The walk-around tasting showcased selections from over 50 South American wineries.
